Opportunity: Juno is a collaborative project between myself and two other designers. We were given an open ended goal of solving a common human issue. After reflecting on the difficulties women experience with period pain, we decided to address the following needs: a solution to period pain that is easy to wear, discreet, and portable to the office or school. That discovery led to the conceptualization of a product that acted as a four-in-one solution to period pain.
Solution: The product is a light-weight, stretchy band that wraps around the midsection. It contains several pain-relieving features which the user is able to control through the app. The app contains several other features including a calendar for period date tracking, a notification page that alerts the user to take medication, and the home screen suggests symptoms to the user based on their history. There is also a shop page which allows the user to purchase an additional Juno. The product is named after Juno, the Roman goddess of women and menstruation. I had the responsibility of overseeing, directing, and shooting the photoshoot for the product advertisements and app. I also worked on different areas of the brand, website, app, and pitch deck creation.
